The video is an artistic look for a song that is really about everything we’ve come to expect from Kanye – fast cars, pretty women and women wanting his lifestyle. “Music is the only fluid language”,
is a bold statement, but a truth nonetheless. Ask any person what their favorite song is and they would be hard pressed to name just one. In fact, this very question was posed around the Established Mayhem office, and there were several pregnant pauses, a request to break down by genre, and then hands thrown into the air because they just simply could not decide. That is the effect that music has on people, and that effect is not singular or national; the effect is world-wide.
One of the many influences of this line was music, and not just the hard beats, or spiraling horns; it was the very culture of music. Sayings like “Music is my Drug”, “Music is my Inspiration”, “Music is my Aphrodisiac”… were inspired by the very feeling that music evokes in all of us. So, to kick off our “Music is my…” series, we’ve included a list of the songs and artists that inspired our vision for the male tee’s currently available. The songs and artists speak to the kind of feeling Established Mayhem wants to evoke when you wear our pieces. These are the songs and artists that get us out of bed on a bad day, and help to keep us motivated when all else fails. Some are old, some are new, and some may cause you to scratch your head, but the beautiful thing about music is that it allows the unique opportunity to open your mind, sit back, and just enjoy the ride.
